Featured Book Blogger: Carman

In an effort to share some terrific book blogs and spread a little link love, I’ve decided to start featuring a different book blogger here every month. This month I’ll introduce you to Carman Boley, a popular blogger who reviews books at A Sequence of Continuous Delights. In addition to reviewing books on her personal blog, Carman also runs another blog called Christian Book Giveaways, where readers can find a bevy of links to Christian book giveaways around the blogosphere. In Carman’s own words, “I’m a Senior in high school, who loves to read. I am blessed with amazing friends, family, and a relationship with Jesus Christ! I am also greatly blessed to have been homeschooled my whole life.” I asked Carman a few questions about her blog…

When and why did you start your blog?

I started my first blog, A Sequence of Continuous Delights, in September 2009. LOL. The reason I started it, was so that I could review Julie Lessman’s books. (It was a requirement that you have your own blog, and I wasn’t about to miss out on her books!)

What types of books do you most commonly review?

I usually review Christian Fiction Romance, but sometimes do non-fiction as well. (The whole “balanced diet” idea.) ;)

How does your faith impact how you blog and what you blog about?

It affects everything I do with my blog, because I read faith-based books and those are what I blog about. Also, I believe in doing my very best in everything, so I try to bring glory to God through how I blog and the content I put on it.

If you had to choose three books that you think everyone should read, what would they be and why?

Good question! Hmm… just three??? ;) I’ll try and choose three very different books that might appeal to different readers. They would be:

Blood Ransom by Lisa Harris. Because of the strong message of faith and the action packed plot!

This is kind of more than one, but… the Blood of Kings series by Jill Williamson. (By Darkness Hid, and To Darkness Fled… the third book isn’t out yet) Because they are some of the best fantasy books I have ever read! (And they are Christian!!) Even if you don’t like fantasy, give it a try!

Last but not least, A Stray Drop of Blood by Roseanna White. Because it impacted my life in a big way! The story is deep, insightful, well written, etc. It is just excellent!
