I haven't read Anna Karenina either. I do love The Hobbit though so I'm most looking forward to that one.

These new movies sound very cool. I've never read any of the books though. That probably sounds bad, since I am a voracious reader. I have seen an OLD version of the movie Anna Karenina---it was made in either the 30's or 40's... and it had me interested for a while until I started realizing what the main plot was, and I didn't really like how the storyline went. So, I'm not very interested in taking the time to read the book, but maybe seeing a newer movie adaptation could sway my thoughts.

I've heard of Anna Karenina (that it is a classic and what-not) but have absolutely no idea what the book is about. I should look into that.

I am SO excited about The Hobbit big screen debut. I will most definitely go to see it. (Even if it is 3+ hours long.)

I'm really looking forward to both of these films. I haven't read Anna Karenina (and honestly I probably won't, at least by the time the film comes out), but I'm a big fan of Knightley and the guy who is directing (his name escapes me at the moment). And of course I'm THRILLED about the upcoming Hobbit film! :)

Just reading the quotes you posted and your review make me want to read this one. Her journey sounds similar to mine, leave home, reject religion, slowly find my way back....ugh!! To this day I still feel like Im trying to get back to that 8 year old faith of mine who had no questions........:)

I liked it better than Still because it had more structure to it and I clicked more with the author's experiences and personality.
